The range covers communications, navigation, surveillance and search-and-rescue across 2 to 18,000 MHz, from low-band VHF through UHF to L-band and beyond. HF arrays use aluminium alloy tubular elements for grounded and ungrounded installations on rotary wing and sub-sonic fixed wing platforms.
In the tactical VHF band the team has significant experience developing and fielding antennas for SINCGARS and BOWMAN. Antennas are generally epoxy/fibreglass mouldings set in aluminium alloy base collars to withstand climate, vibration and temperature variation.
